About The Arthur A. Armbrust Scholarship Loan Fund

Arthur "Art" Armbrust, a native of Portsmouth's Boneyfiddle area, forged a lifelong bond with the First Presbyterian Church, a place that nurtured his early years. Despite living in various communities throughout his career, Art's connection with the church never waned. In 1982, he established the Arthur A. Armbrust Scholarship Loan Fund, reflecting his deep commitment to education and community support. This fund, further enriched by Art's endowment upon his passing in 1998, continues to empower Portsmouth's perspective undergraduate students, embodying his enduring legacy of generosity and support for education.
